Meet Jamie Rogers MacLean, CZO, CFM, Director of Planning, WV
How long have you been at Greenway Engineering?
How long have you been in the land planning profession?
I have been in the land planning profession for 15 years. My professional certifications include Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM) and Certified Zoning Official (CZO). Since joining Greenway, I have worked for local jurisdictions in West Virginia and Virginia as a local government employee, as a private consultant subcontracting with local governments, and as a land planning consultant.
What is your role on the Greenway Engineering Team?
Currently, I serve as the Director of Land Planning, WV, and Martinsburg Office Branch Manager. During the three years I have worked with Greenway, the projects I have worked on and managed have been multidisciplinary in nature. Many of the projects were complex multi-year projects with various deadlines that required an understanding of state, local, and federal requirements. I have managed projects with land planning, civil engineering, survey, environmental, GIS/mapping, and QC inspections components. I have coordinated with clients and technical staff to understand the scope and tasks associated with each phase of the project and the timeline for deliverables.
What is the most fulfilling aspect of your job?
There is never a dull day! As Director of Land Planning, I have managed multiple long-range projects involving complicated issues, such as various regulatory requirements and multiple, competing deadlines. The timelines for each have been unique, changing, and dependent upon the scope of the project.
What do you value about working at Greenway Engineering?
I value my coworkers. I am in awe of their work ethic, intelligence, and willingness to work as a team. Teamwork makes the dream work. Every day!
